A Workshop with Artist-in-Residence Nicole Anastas
As part of our artist-in-residence series in partnership with Uprise Art, we welcome Los Angeles-based artist Nicole Anastas to MacArthur Place. With a background in fashion and furniture design, Nicole has developed a unique painting process that blends sewing, embroidery, and fabric manipulation to create richly tactile surfaces. In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore Nicole’s approach by working directly with canvas – cutting, fraying, pleating, sewing, and shaping the material to create dynamic textures before finishing the sculpted surfaces with acrylic and latex paint.
We invite you to participate in this workshop from Thursday, March 27, 5pm – 6:30pm.
Workshop will be held in Coach House 1, is complimentary and wine will be served from Sebastiani Vineyards & Winery. Space limited to 12 guests with prior reservation.
